Lynn Gangone, dean of The Women’s College at the University of Denver, has been named one of the “25 Most Powerful Women in Denver” by the Colorado Women’s Chamber of Commerce (CWCC).

The 25 women chosen are “leaders, innovators, trendsetters, role models and mentors,” said Donna Evans, CWCC president and CEO.

Gangone said her passion is women’s equality, something CWCC values by striving for equal opportunity connections. “I channel my passion for women’s equality through education, specifically leading the Women’s College. It’s important to me to extend the opportunity to women to lead and make a difference in the world,” she noted.

The CWCC is comprised of more than 1,000 members representing corporate executives, small business owners, nonprofits and government employees.

Also on this year’s Top 25 list were Cleo Parker Robinson (CWC ’70), head of her eponymous Denver dance company, and Carita Watson (BBA ’88, MCIS ’98), global transformation executive for IBM Global Services.

Honorees were recognized during a gala on Jan. 16 at The Four Seasons in downtown Denver.
