DENVER – Lynn Gangone, dean of The Women’s College (TWC) at the University of Denver, has been named one of the “25 Most Powerful Women” in Denver by the Colorado Women’s Chamber of Commerce (CWCC).
The 25 women chosen are “leaders, innovators, trendsetters, role models and mentors,” said Donna Evans, CWCC president and CEO.
Gangone said her passion is women’s equality, something CWCC values by striving for equal opportunity connections. “I channel my passion for women’s equality through education, specifically leading The Women’s College. It’s important to me to extend the opportunity to women to lead and make a difference in the world,” she noted.
The CWCC is comprised of more than 1,000 members representing corporate executives, small business owners, nonprofits, as well as government employees. The CWCC is the “premier organization that provides opportunities and visibility for women in business through relationship development, education, mentorship, partnership and alliances.”
Gangone was named dean of The Women’s College in 2007. TWC is dedicated to “educating women to boldly lead in the communities where they live, work and engage.”
